Put out your remix series
try to reach me
With divisions and revisions
You have besieged me
No longer will I let you deceive me
Keep me in chains so u can defeat me
How much longer will you feed this junk?
When an elephant doesn’t need his trunk?
Look behind you when you need me ’cause I’m able
Justice will certainly turn the tables
It might have been a brighter day
mob controlled every play
wicked sat in their scornful seat
running ahead of every beat
predator planning a profiling hunt
racist cream of the crop out to the front
From a song by kyu n ganjy (2018)
Job pleads that God knows that he has not been idle to do justice and perform mercy. He further calls for attention to his lack of self-evaluation. He is certain that he is not depending on his works. He is not kissing his hand.
Strutting and boasting about our performance is always a bad way to conduct God’s business. Hear what Yeshua says about our approach.
So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty. Luke 17:10
An impressive lifestyle is not salvation. Beware!
I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; my justice was like a robe and a turban. I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame. Job 29:14-15
Let us not be caught kissing our hand.
