Do you think the Canadian premiers do not know that charging for necessary health services contravene the national act? If you do, you might also think that Palestinians are not real, Ukraine is just part of Russia and conservatives across the planet are not eager to build societies based on the prevalent influence and superior rights of corporate power. As a dispersed African, I can smell a slave economy as the winds blow past the debate about healthcare services and providers.

Sons of Sceva are practically everywhere and there ought to be a law to protect people against abominable merchandising such as is popular on North American television. If you want to be healed you go to a doctor. Then again you can just use your words in respectful and urgent prayer. You might even be one of the few people to whom God has given the power to speak basic and daily needs into existence, even when there are means within human reach. The options for medical cures are quite clear. God has been saying no to prayers for miraculous “healings” since Israel was a nation and there are no lessons necessary for access to the heavenly Father’s power to make people whole. It is worth finding out what on earth could a healing university be under the auspices of the Lord Christ and his apostles.
Treatment vs examination
A magical masquerade mime was present in the leprosy “treatment” in the levitical system. Compared to what the Lord Christ did for lepers (Mark 1:40-45) we have to think of the distance separating the priest from the leper during his examination (Leviticus 13:3,5,6,8,25,30,32,34, and 14:3). You can see he had to do a lot of looking. The human body has always been the beneficiary of divine healing on request.

“And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.” (Luke 4:27, NASB)
There may be oral traditions of even thousands of cleansed lepers, but these are absent from our sources of authority. Leprosy is a picture of sin we probably do not want to make too much of, since their cleansing by the Lord Christ and his disciples was evidence for the last and greatest prophet that God’s kingdom had arrived (Luke 7:22)
God is not obligated to make anyone’s body like a baby’s and he definitely is not handing out glorious bodies before the time (Hebrews 11:39, Acts 7:5). On the other hand God never ignores or fails to answer genuine cries for mercy and pardon.

It was no accident that I heard a merchantelevangelist offer access to God’s healing power by means of his forty-eight lesson drug deal. I naturally had to say something to warn people about this kind of masquerade. One has to be in the grip of a reality other than God’s kingdom, as we have seen it unveiled in the documented work of the Lord Christ, to believe in and waste time on a forty-eight lesson masquerade from a merchantelevangelist. What next will they try to sell believers?
The Rights We Give Up
Cannabis has been in the news with an innovative edge. The government of Canada has legislated that cannabis be available without penalty for recreational use by adults. This is a landmark move. The United States had arbitrarily put a plant on the list of banned substances and created decades of misery and oppression. Thousands of people have criminal records for using a plant that God designed for human happiness. Thousands have led productive and sustainable lives with both casual and regular use over those same decades. In an age when governments are forced to accede to popular propositions cannabis is now approved for medical and recreational use in many jurisdictions. While the US is mired in its bigoted federal opposition to a handful of states’ decriminalization Canada is set to break ground with federal legislation rolling out across the dominion in October 2018. The health concerns and plans to criminalize pot use have gone to ridiculous lengths to create a cash cow for governments and seek for a foothold to maliciously intimidate users.
God’s pot never needed a politician or a doctor
I will celebrate the non-criminal use of pot but not without a resolute SCREW YOU to the police, medical experts, and the religious bigots who think they have found respectively an excuse to intimidate innocent citizens with functional (not impairment or intoxication) roadside tests and extreme criminal penalties (hah!), a reason to prevent young people from abusing the plant (what produce or product have people not abused with government happily watching?), and a sin against God (for using one of his designated plants).
Medical professionals had 5 decades at least to be proactive and productive instead of joining with the biased police operative turned MP and floating a wide range of alarmist suppositions.
Religious people have been turning over the keys of spirituality to government with destructive effect in nearly every case. We have seen government taking over the lead on matters that have been the subject of divine revelation, and Christians especially will sell the shop for a few handouts of temporary fixes from the government, as if they can forget that every government will singe every religious backside in its drive to be supreme).
People know:
(the police are the last people we want with their finger on our well-being, they have not prevented the slide into violence-soaked neighbourhoods and members of the medical profession have sold themselves to serve the golden calf of public safety)

I am sorry to say a demon may not have inspired the Canadian decrim law but the forces of evil and atheism seem to have a firm grip on the pot market and people-control factors.
There is too much sleight of hand and distraction in this national policy. I am not a fan of these modern Merlins

The Silence is Ironic
If people were thinking that a revolution was really happening in the Middle East they can start thinking again. The states being racked by protests and revolts have shown their true colour: repression, cruelty, ignorance, and religious phoniness. The neighbours seem to lack the courage to condemn the use of military power to suppress the call for freedom.
The casualties caused by government troops in Syria, Libya, and by Islamic miltants in Pakistan are not heroes, not yet. The survivors need reliable allies. It is diagnostic that the honourable voices in these countries are no-where to be found. The Arab League and Islam have failed to show their connection to Arab and Islamic populations. How can any sane person, westerner or easterner, put any confidence in dictatorships and imams who seem willing to be silent about their own failures?
Is it really hard to explain how so much religious tradition be a hindrance to justice and freedom? One should not forget the devastating effect of western imperialism, Jewish Zionism, bigotry from Pacific powers, Russian oligarchy and others. It would seem that people are assuming that there is a corollary to western justice. I do not want to assume anything when there is so much evidence of moral bankruptcy, which makes Middle Eastern corruption easy to explain, but nontheless daunting to terminate.
With both west and east climbing the wannabe pole of Judeo with smatterings of Christianity) and a commitment to human dignity in Islamic states. One would also have to cover one’s eyes to explain how citizens of Canada can be engaged in peaceful resolution of crucial issues. No one should be holding their breath for religious groups in these crumbling states to break into the silence. Death and other really bad stuff await them. The absence of moderate Islamic voices is predictably shocking. Is it possible that milions even in North America whose voices we have been inclined to call moderate are acquiescing over the denial of human rights, the iconization of unspeakable violence. What could they be waiting for? Are they waiting for a backlash from Canadians? People are beginning to peek past the rhetoric of politicans and clerics. Many religious Canadian reject violence as a means to establish either religion or secularity, and their failure speak out shows that irony, as the nature of the world ruling powers, has already advanced to the doorstep of dirt-cheap propaganda.
An Impenitent Society
News of nuclear weapons and violence dominates the news as if there was nothing else to report. The media mills are either trying to appear sensitive to human concerns or they are part of the monger-society selling what attracts people. If the talk in most homes followed the script of most news items most residents would want a change of address. Few seem willing to admit that we are a dying race, a race without a goal, and a race with little remorse. The total weight of bad news combines with unapologetic attitudes to crush the human spirit.
People who are in authority with illusions of themselves as infallible and who refuse to admit their failures are the worst type of person to provide information. Wars have been fought because mistakes were covered up and worse evidence has been fabricated. It is time for fresh water from the well. The mantras of “doing the right thing” and “staying the course” are popular and destructive. No-one benefits from drinking muddy and polluted waters.
The crimes and injustices of the powerful remain under wraps, yet these are the items most needed on the table. Apologies are the medicine for our troubled and increasingly helpless societies, but for the time being, everyone is right and as long as one carries a bigger stick than one’s neighbours there is no motivation for penitence or apologize. Only the infallible and God need no apologies. Only the hypocrite claims to have made no mistakes. Human impenitence is a putrefying sore that has one remedy. It surely is time for the world to hear the major powers apologize collectively and individually for their religious, capitalist and imperial adventures. We have the power to avert the collapse of the human family. No one needs be reminded that human minds can be changed, but can the current course to a curse be avoided?
