Ocean lovers

Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.

At some point both my maternal and paternal ancestors turned to the ocean for their livelihood. Supposedly the choice came from our origins on the coast of west Africa. The number of people occupied with and attached to the ocean has yet to be catalogued, and may never be, but the range is also staggering: seafood lovers, lighthouse keeper, fisherman, harbour customs officer, and marine pilot. Go figure!

International Court Ruling Will Rip the Facade off of Israeli Righteous Posture

As the world awaits the International Court’s ruling on South Africa’s case for genocide and for emergency measures in Gaza, Palestine, Israel, we are sure to see a negligible slice of mumbo jumbo but a clear recognition of Israeli criminality for its decades of occupation policy of using the military in a civic matter. Israel will not even pretend to understand the ruling, because it has to think politically now that all moral cloaks have been exposed.

Necessary evils and other allied demons

This brief is not about demons or evil spirits.  How is it that Mr Netanyahu and the Israeli government can allow settlers to perpetrate  murders of Palestinian people, destruction of their homes, and countenance the plot to destroy the mosque on temple mount and not appreciate the Qatari government’s role in mediating one of the world most complex and persistent evils towards a conclusion?  Really Bibi?  There’s a spirit of self-serving righteousness and a readiness to do violence that allows people to think that the international order is too broken to benefit the oppressed and disenfranchised.  I’m sorry, I do not buy that.  Some evils and certain forms of misery are with us until the end of this age.

The frauds that straddle the borders in the Levant, Arab states, European and Asian countries are going to be adjudicated by the international Community
