What better place for Felonious I to die than in Gaza

It is in Gaza that we find horrific images of starvation, disease, ethnic cleansing, exploitation and cyclical deportation.  It was in Gaza that a great judge of ancient Israel committed suicide, killing at the same time more men than he had killed all his life.  Samson died in Gaza. The commander in chief of the United States dared to say in public that the United States might consider taking over the government in Gaza and arrange for the deportation of Gazans to Arab countries.  It would be fitting for the appearance of justice that the most powerful individual (and currently the most unfit for public leadership) would get his knickers in an unrelenting knit alongside the blasphemous chief of Likud and the clans of criminal settlers.

Snickers and shudders

“Let him go up” was the call when the Hebrew Bible wound down, and “Let him go up” was the policy initiative of the Persian ruler when he discovered the history of the Jewish people.

Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, ‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all His people, may the Lord his God be with him, and let him go up!’ (2 Chronicles 36:23)

1. Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he sent a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying: 2. Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, ‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He has appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. (Ezra 1:1-2) ‘Whoever there is among you of all His people, may his God be with him! Let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah and rebuild the house of the Lord, the God of Israel; He is the God who is in Jerusalem. (Ezra 1:3)

Will take over = foreign war

Let no one imagine that there is a historical framework for the racist and colonialist orders by the United states, or for the military solutions put forward by hateful Jewish leaders in Israel.   People we deem to be informed would laugh then shudder at the prospect that the supposed leader of the advancing world would embrace such a recessive idea.  He, naturally, has some delusion of financial gains for himself, his family and the super rich.  Leaders who disregard the interests of the poor and the oppressed.  We laugh because it is preposterous. We love because it is a divine response to the folly of Earth’s rulers to put distance between themselves and anointed leadership.  It is not true that no one knows what Christ on a throne on Earth might look like.  Solomon was a successful and just king.  The justice of liberation from colonialism is not without witness.  African leaders of the 20th century made straight paths for their feet, chief among them His Imperial Majesty, Haile Selassie I. Like Mussolini, all wannabe emperors and strongmen can find a den in which to die in the lands they have

“Obliterate” sounds like “annihilate”, like “decimate”, and the Israeli attempt to end Hamas is a dull echo of other specific attempts at genocide.  Movements do not die without deaths without and without.
