I am the kind of patriot who has several families and several parent relationships.  I am the patriot who will stand for my fellow citizens without regard to language, age, gender or ethnicity.   I covet the joy of people who have no country but can see one coming.  The modern patriot, like me, will renounce egotistical security, hostile nationalism, emotionally hollow flag waving and state worship.
