I can only imagine returning to portions of a few books

What book could you read over and over again?

Some books I have read do thrill me from cover to cover, but they are mostly fantasy and fiction.  I do not see myself returning to read them.  I can only picture myself returning portions of certain books to see what other deep mysteries of life or what mix of emotions I may discover. I owe you a book, by name, since I am responding to the prompt.   Esther, Jewish story, explaining the Feast of Purim and a whole lot more.

Does not add up

Law, Mosaic or other, prescribes certain consequences for violation.  When discovered, transgressions ended in quick judgment, both case and sentence.

2. For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty, 3. how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard,”

Hebrews 2:2-3, NASB

It is highly illogical to think that God’s law was violated in heaven before humans were created,  and he allowed the violation to fester for unknown millennia, centuries, or decades, if there was not something larger than law.   Only madness and demonic jealousy allows us, believers, to posit our speculations about how God deals with sin and death.  We all are believers , saints, because of grace, God’s Son, no credit or thanks to us.

So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’.

(Luke 17:10, NASB)

Necessary evidence

People who keep saying they need more evidence when the rogues confess in plain sight are like shallow pools of mud advertising as hippopotamus spas.   Israel has lied about Palestinian children that it jails and tortures, lied about thefts of Palestinian property in Jerusalem, lied about its commitment to a two-state solution to the Palestinian Problem, and finally the Israeli PM lets everyone with an ear know that killing innocent people is “what happens in war”.  The arguments for Israeli apartheid and genocidal intent in the ICJ are impressive, and while the world waits for the distinguished justices to rule and as the United States decides that using its veto to shield Israel from accountability and as nations urgently discuss ending weapons sales to Israel we get another piece of necessary evidence.

Pray for Jerusalem , Gaza and Hebron

For many decades Christians have felt a solemn duty to pray for the Israeli because of the common heritage in religion.   Many have taken the call in the Psalms seriously to pray for Jerusalem’s peace.  Some have taken the call seriously because they want to prosper on account of their prayers for Jerusalem’s peace.  The time has now come for people to realize the praying is not enough, people need also to take the actions that are in their power to bring Jerusalem to peace, and end a war that is inhumane and mindless. With the mounting evidence that crimes are on the drawing board what is the point to praying for the piece of Jerusalem and the government of Israel has said it has no interest in a peaceful solution?
