Falling short of glory

What makes you most anxious?

It happens often enough to confirm that I am human and not some amped up version of a good citizen or exemplary judge.  Watching someone walk away from an encounter with me and I suddenly realize I could have said or done  something profoundly caring.  The thought that my contact also recognized the missed opportunity is less rattling .  A heart that recognizes that a moment of glory just slipped by is in good shape. So this kind of anxiety has an accompanying comfort. Even the criminal and uninformed person wants to be known as caring for another person. The brightest lights of human life shine with caring activity.

Rich fool

Here is a parable that surprises us with its disregard for the processes of the commercial world. The parable is triggered by  someone in a crowd accompanying the Lord Yeshua inviting the Lord to order the division, the redistribution of the family inheritance.   To which the Lord replied, “Man, who appointed Me a judge or arbitrator over you?” Then He said to the crowd, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.” (Luke 12:13-15, NASB).

Abundance of goods is hardly life

Yeshua told them a parable, saying,

  • “The land of a rich man was very productive.
    • And he began reasoning to himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’
      • WHAT HE DOES.Then he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
      • WHAT HE SAYS. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come;
    • take your ease, eat, drink and be merry.”’
  • But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’

Based on the opening line a person needs to be aware of how positivity or increased productivity can negatively affect him.  Apparently, the landowner crossed the line.  His planning and self-talk were defining.  When the sun rose the next day he had nothing.  As the saying goes, he departed this life with as much as when he arrived. It goes to show that God judges people by what they say, even to themselves. Based on the closing lines, more of everything and greed for it brings attention that does not end well. We need to clean up our self-talk.  Our self-talk can sink our boat.

So is the man who // this is what happens to selfish and greedy people.  Business men should pay attention to their plans for increasing production with the proceeds not destined for others.

So is the man who

  • (a) stores up treasure for himself, and
  • (b) is not rich toward God.”” (Luke 12:16-21, NASB)

Perhaps it is better to have no pillow, no business, no investments that might constitute a temptation to build bigger warehouses.  In conclusion, we might take another look at the lesson about the difficulty of rich persons finding a way into God’s kingdom.  This parable is about a person in one of the few risky situations affecting kingdom access.   This person could be any believer who sees himself as rich without actually being rich.

Canada’s family

You listen to people like to the Bloc Quebecois leader and you will think that Canadians can find no-one to trust with the nation’s business, and we need to look outside of our family, while the Bloc itself absolutely refuses to recognize the Canadian family, namely, our Aboriginal people and all of us who have come here from anywhere. The Bloc is lost in its separatist and “distinct people” rhetoric when it rejects an unimpeachable former Governor General as the Prime Minister’s choice to head up an inquiry. The BQ is out on a limb with opposition for opposition’s sake. This Bloc objection is simply another perfectly transparent political manoeuvre that has “fail” written all over it.

Healthcare fraud in plain sight

Do you think the Canadian premiers do not know that charging for necessary health services contravene the national act? If you do, you might also think that Palestinians are not real, Ukraine is just part of Russia and conservatives across the planet are not eager to build societies based on the prevalent influence and superior rights of corporate power. As a dispersed African, I can smell a slave economy as the winds blow past the debate about healthcare services and providers.

Inflation Differentiated

Blame Russian aggression against Ukraine for the high and rising prices we have to pay.  Blame the covid 19 pandemic for disrupting supply chains and causing shortages and higher costs. Listen to the money and economy experts and  blame inflation for the higher and prohibitive cost of living.  Find the entities exempt from any of those causes and meet specialized inflation, like food inflation, lodging inflation, travel inflation, contracting inflation, housing inflation and betting inflation, each with its own explanation of victims and no culprit.

A bigger pot of crack will be hard to find.  The butcher, the baker and the LED lamp maker will have a story to tell, and only the paperwork work for the period in question will tell the public whether inflation is like the weather; very diverse, inevitable and not subject to manipulation. I am willing to predict that the gouge-kings have been busy.

Opinion kills as certainly patriot bullets

I have always thought that making idols of free speech and the right to bear arms was a suicidal venture.  A practice we put at the top of our list ought to be absolute.  No such scope applies to free speech and bearing weapons.  The framers of the American constitution were deep thinkers who did not foresee that generations would arise who take any portion of their words defining the national character and turn it into tools of tyranny and rebellion.  Free speech and the right to bear arms have come into focus as the prime corroders of government’s best efforts.

Who are they keeping safe for the enjoyment of life and liberty

It is not mere slogan wielding when heads of state affirm their sacred duty to protect the nation.  History has shown that failure to do so distinguishes the records despots, kings, presidents, and even tribal leaders in the jungles and deserts.  Every leader comes from a clan that can exert pressure on the leader to place its unique practices above all else.  We have allowed the value of plurality to weaken the indispensable unity a nation needs in order to be strong and survive.  The people Moses loved and led have a testimony in this regard and we advance the cause of good government if we take note of the deliberate division of the nation into the kingdoms of Judah and Israel, two and ten tribes respectively.  The kings that succeeded David were not expected to repeat what David achieved; they only needed to keep certain aspects of his administration alive.  Evil kings were the ones who departed from  David’s example. They exposed their people to Yahweh’s anger by so doing and the promised consequences were insecurity, famine, exile and death.

So where are the reliable speakers of truth and warriors of mercy and justice

News ought to be factual, and the widespread use of experts to shape the news – they call it “giving context” – is as malicious as pushing outright fabrications.  When the source of information is either hidden or not stated news is as good for consumption as what spews from disturbed stomachs or rear ends.  BBC, FOX, CBC, Facebook and Twitter are not innocent purveyors of information the public needs.  They push whatever improves their market share of followers, and they bombard the public with their stupid slogans (ads) about their ability  to connect people.  Free speech is not absolute because every one knows that not only is untruthful speech dangerous it is punishable in the courts.  The right to bear arms has not only been in the hands of undeserving individuals it has also been the means for terrorizing innocent citizens.  The proclamation of truth and the war to foster justice and mercy have barely begun.

The dead giveaway

Political speech, religious traditions and tribal tenets have been allowed to pollute the social fabric by being placed above the simple facts.  Fully one third of most populations laps up the venom of politics, religion and tribal tradition without so much as a second glance.  People give heed to foot doctors talking about the brain and regard science as magic, despite the knowledge that the human body is equipped to heal itself with our cooperation.  The deals politicians make with manufacturers to exact exorbitant prices for their products from the consumer show that the maintenance life is not a priority.  Sick people with little access to healing regimes cannot pursue happiness. We might pity the preacher, the politician, the pundit and the jurist, and it might be wasted, because they remedy is to reject every such person who worships the right to free speech and the right to bear arms.  In addition to the ballot box for politicians there should be a day for lying and homicidal politicians and their  television and print personality allies to go to prison. When the heads of government are allied with and dependent on media types who have little regard for truth and facts, free speech and Patriots kill instead of promoting life. When speakers and warriors are interested only in affecting large audiences with their moronic slogans and buzzwords Idolatry rules the roots and kills the innocent.

Substandard adversary

When the devil threw his best pitch at Yeshua God laughed, not because a joke was in the air, but because the attempt was pathetic, like watching a ⅛ gram ant flexing his muscles before lifting a 5-ton elephant. The devil was no match for Yeshua.  All the evil angel had was slander, accusatory interrogation, murder, and false witnesses to cover up the resurrection. Yet he took his activities seriously, and even today carries on his opposition as a substandard adversary.

Ridiculous opposition and stupid showboating

Make no mistake. Politics is not a game. The “substandard” minister happens to be in government and people’s rep calling the minister “substandard” is a member of the house, a member of the party that failed to convince electors to put it in charge of the government. Fraud seems to apply whoever fails to win the majority.

“Stooges”, a Pollievre word for two ministries of the crown, shows the latrine and catapult that define political intelligence in some circles

Michael Chong, MP, is probably compromised as a Canadian patriot.   CSIS, calling for public accounts, is likely to be infiltrated by fascists, misguided religious bigots, and nationalists, and all the national institutions that Canadians have found to be complicit in the murder of First Nations children and women are known to be towering examples of failure and surreptitious malfeasance.

The new substandard

It is nauseating that Members of Parliament cannot ask a question in the house without loading up on emotional and unsubstantiated drivel. So let substandard be the proprietary designation for individuals whose party failed at the polls.

Conservatives critical mass from polls

The federal and provincial conservative representatives are sponsoring dozens of polls which are designed to create a tsunami in public by using the results to show that conservatives are caring people, and are committed to pluralism and democracy.  When the conservatives have the support of the Bloc Quebecois one knows that the mutual intent is not the building of Canada’s institutions.  The conservative intention to find the truth is as clear as mud. They have been trashing Canada’s health system for years now and then they want to act all innocent,  and demand more money to realize their goals for the  health system, which is to make Canadians pay like the poor Americans have to.  Popularity on Facebook and social media should not be allowed to transform the Canadian political consensus into some right-wing fascist and racist strong North.

An opinion poll can say whatever its makers want to say

Any clever pollster can make milk unnecessary. Everything coming from any conservative politician is plot, plunder, and poop. They just want to replace the current members of parliament with their allies. They are selling dangerous drugs. A divided house falls. The leader of the opposition is a deluded megaphonic crapster as long as he sees his role as pulling down the government. Add to that the many polls that the citizen is subjected to and a massive manipulation of public sentiment is in the making. All of them, heads of government included, who were awake when the mob took over the streets of Ottawa, made their choice quite clear. They wanted to appear with the “strong” taking back a country deemed lost by White nationalist types. They rendered lipservice to the cause of Canada’s First Nations. Mark my words. Right wing politics is the seed bed for Nazism, fascism, plutocracy, and a slave economy. Then those moronic politicians want to talk about a broken Canada and a divided Canada as if they have nothing to do with dividing people. Avoid polls, and be sure to keep your vote secret. It is nobody’s business who you choose to represent you.
