Countertuitive; less of a distrusting stance to new acquaintances

What could you do less of?

As much as there is a need for strangers to trust one another there is a mass rising of people who are targeting benevolent individuals with scams and outright malicious designs. Society can boast about having new levels of connectivity while thefts and a host of other violations of people’s rights seem to be increasing. When we are in distress help sometimes appears before we send out an SOS, but these days when help arrives – police and emergency services – the trust is not always there. I do not need that kind of caution, whether it is official agents, strangers or random people, when I offer or need help.

Peace through violence is unimaginable and popular

Guess who wants peace and shows that they do?  Neither kingdom nor state, nor freedom fighter, nor terrorist.

1) And it will come about in the last days That the mountain of the house of the Lord Will be established as the chief of the mountains. It will be raised above the hills, And the peoples will stream to it. 2) Many nations will come and say, “Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord And to the house of the God of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways And that we may walk in His paths.” For from Zion will go forth the law, Even the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. 3) And He will judge between many peoples And render decisions for mighty, distant nations. Then they will hammer their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they train for war. 4) Each of them will sit under his vine And under his fig tree, With no one to make them afraid, For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken.

Micah 4:1-4, NASB

Cut! The pressure to side with Israel reeks

If justice and morality has to do with the treatment of slaves then Moses got it down pat, because the first stop cute and judgement right after then comes out treat a slave, and we should not forget the descendants of made their way to Sinai as the result of the liberation of slaves from Egypt. So let me propose that morality in the 21st century has something to do with how many slaves the powerful Nations have set free, and how workers are treated by the United States, regional powers like Israel, the Arab Emirates, and the islands of the Caribbean.

Even expertly disguised evil cannot hide

Killing innocent people is written in the DNA of the inhabitants of Jerusalem and their leaders. The facts are recorded by the prophets and in the chronicles of the kings of Israel and Judah. The United States and European Union and United Nations cannot give Israel a new heart, because that is a thing they rejected wholeheartedly from the time Moses laid down the rules and regulations of their relationship with Yahweh. Israel and her allies have fried up their version of the truth and dare the public to reject it. Sensible people – spiritually enlightened and accountable – only need to call the earth and sky as witnesses to the wickedness playing out in Palestine.

How dare anyone compare the sins of Israel with the scenes of her mouth?

2) Listen, O heavens, and hear, O earth; For the Lord speaks, “Sons I have reared and brought up, But they have revolted against Me. 3) “lAn ox knows its owner, And a donkey its master’s manger, But Israel does not know, My people do not understand.” (Isaiah 1:2-3, NASB)

Incorrigible and indigent

Even when they pay us for the work our ancestors did I will not believe that there is a gram of philanthropy in the United States’ government. All those silent evangelicals and their leaders can start shouting “Let my people go”; it will be an act. The colonial powers will not change; they justify their empires and are dreading the heavy lifting that justice demands.

A realistic evaluation of an unbelievable world

Nothing to confess. We did nothing wrong. An idle people cannot be expected to feel anything for the descendants of slaves, slaves who they did not recognize as people. The Bible, they say, provides regulations for slavery. What are the chances that there are five good persons in the government of any country? Maybe eight souls in the entire country? Noah preached for a century and his family were the only ones who, apparently, bought his message. People are too lazy to think, too proud to humbly help the needy. Like Sodom? Like Jerusalem? Like Ottawa? Like Texas? It is not surprising that a failed tycoon and reality show player has the worship and allegiance of a third of society.

A proverb and a byword

The hosts of Christ-hating rebels are trotting out their anti-christmas clips. What time is it? December. Pretending that they know and keep all of God’s commands they have a bowel-movement banquet of the dozens of prohibited practices God gave to Israel. If life’s abundance and sustainability depends on “do this” and “don’t do such and such” from God spiritual life is not in the picture. It is an attempt to enslave believers – because it cannot possibly make any sense to unbelievers – with juvenile and elementary principles like the following.

None of these practices are signs of maturity

  • Love God with all your heart
  • Love your neighbor as you love yourself
  • Read your Bible and pray every day
  • Observe feasts, Sabbaths, months, years
  • Avoid defiling yourself with foods
  • Avoid contact with unbelievers
  • Repeated baptisms on the basis of doctrines not on the basis of faith in God’s Son

Who are the pagans whose land “new Israel” is inheriting? When we realize that the answer to that question can only be attached to American racism, colonialism corruption and shamelessness we will know that anti-christmas rants are trashy jingoism, equal to the mistletoe, Santa Claus, and the sleighing songs. It will also be clear that celebrating the incarnation of God’s Son apart from any holy day or holy season is a good thing.

How does one live in a multicultural society without some melting and meeting? Sheesh! Let the United States, Israel and the United Kingdom answer.

What really happened on October 7, 2023

Some people, thinking that eyes do not work anymore for the rest of us, are hoping to convince us that they know what really happened on October 7th in Israel.  Go figure.  With assorted assassinations, public protests, suicide bombings, the slow erosion of democratic priorities, noses thumbed at United Nations resolutions, fifty years have proved that talk is cheap and mostly duplicitous.  Forgive me.  Escalating barbarities is not war.  Honest leaders are hard to find and peace will reign when the lies skink back into the shadows

If people only knew what peace looks like!

The shedding of innocent blood in Jerusalem is not a modern problem to be blamed on foreigners.

41) When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it, 42) saying, “If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. (Luke 19:41-42, NASB)

For thus says the Lord of hosts, “Cut down her trees And cast up a siege against Jerusalem. This is the city to be punished, In whose midst there is only oppression.” (Jeremiah 6:6, NASB)

But your eyes and your heart are intent only upon your own dishonest gain, and on shedding innocent blood And on practicing oppression and extortion. (Jeremiah 22:17, NASB)

Vermin, churls and orangestan speech

The characterization of people who have different opinions as vermin is not so strange if people have been listening to most religious beliefs. Are we to believe that the three religions that claim to have Abraham as primary ancestor are brimming with hospitality for migrants, are ready to forgive anyone who asks, and have the courage to insist on justice for everyone?  The vile things being uttered by the orangestan threat to the American experiment are very likely the things that have been said in the opaque rooms of evangelical homes, churches and colleges and more.

Deep peeking

If you didn’t need sleep, what would you do with all the extra time?

Instead of sleeping I would and dream of 90 cm coconut trees, nibble edible cannabis buds “from the vine”, swim in purple oceans, and visit my myriad children across the galaxies; assuming of course that everyone else was in that sleepless (and work-free!) utopia and were fascinated by the promises to Abraham (he of Ur, Canaan and Egypt).
