A long stream of air

How long it takes to tell a person what he or she needs to be saved reveals how perverted one’s gospel has become. The more minutes the less reliable the message.

All those type and antitype charts and genealogies may look like due diligence but they such the life out of the lifegiving message. The core message does not take a day, much less a week.

4) Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. 5) Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: 6) From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; 7) Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. 8) But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; 9) Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10) For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 11) According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

1 Timothy 1:4-11

Jerusalem the abused

This treasure of real estate does not need an endorsement from anyone, least of all a nation that shows little regard for Jerusalem’s peace. In fact her residents do not care that much either. David took steps after being crowned in Hebron to live in Jerusalem and house his families there. The political moves of an American president in 2019 do nothing to Jerusalem’s status.

Great nations have gone to Jerusalem but few have joined the Jews in worshipping Yahweh. When the city was emptied there was some export of Jewish religion and Jerusalem remained the beloved centre of Jewish hopes and practice. In neither case was any foreign power trying to change Jerusalem from being the place for Yahweh’s name.

The tombs of Judah’s kingdom are in Jerusalem. The living residents of Jerusalem have much to live up to. The attempt to deny Jerusalem her cosmopolitan nature endures as the ultimate unfaithfulness. She has troubles no foreign or local power can relieve. The news that the US president is moving the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem is a case of smoke without fire, and the smoke smells like patriotism and racism.

The deep dark dungeon

If for believing adults the success of the gospel is obedience to God’s commandments and if only spiritual (reborn) persons can render this obedience how sad a comedy of mistakes is the subjection of children to law and obedience!

Are we disciples of Christ or our peers? Our peers are part of the crooked generation from which we need to save ourselves as we turn to Christ. Is light really welcome? A list of demonic doctrines and xenophobic purity can hardly be called godly instruction or lifestyle.

There is nothing to tell your child about the great salvation when you have told them all their lives and tried to live yours as if nothing mattered besides commandment keeping.

The religious movements of our times are the work of liars and demonized children who would rather create scandalous theories than to confess their mistakes and turn to Christ. The darkness is near complete.

15) Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the Lord hath spoken. 16) Give glory to the Lord your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness. 17) But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the Lord’s flock is carried away captive.

Jeremiah 13:15-17

King of Peace

If we accept that the best laws can be negative, tribal, oppressive, and lack impartiality no future beckons, and only the bloodletting and fierce political combat by any means appears as certainties.

What is happening in the United States are the closing moves of the preparation of global dictatorship.  No good can come of a supreme court that is stacked with judges with fascist, quasi-Judeo and quasi-Christian commitments.

Social upheavals

Much of the moral morass in which we find ourselves is explicitly perverse. The wickedness in high places of which the Scriptures speak is a phenomenon happening with the approval and bankrolls of the world ruling powers. The church has its own wicked performance too but is not a world-ruling power. The heavenlies is the realm of spirits.

The trend of government is to at least avoid the appearance of intrusion into religious matters and vice versa. It won’t be long before serious consideration is contemplated about the contributions of the three faith communities with seeming vested interest in the final peaceful disposition of Jerusalem.

International Interest

It may seem like a most worthy venture when the international community begins to demand a voice and action towards Jerusalem’s peace.
Zechariah (12:3) has an early warning out.

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

The nations -all earth’s people- will be in the wrong side of history. The end of unconditional support for Israel is inevitable. People know what justice looks like. The international siege of Jerusalem will trigger events that shape the end of the age and Zionite destiny.

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:2

Do not hurt yourself

The Jerusalem heritage does not mingle with mediocrity. It does not peddle prophecy or wage war. The city can only persist when the best of two traditions are combined. Jerusalem is royal territory and as such has it’s own unique seal and destiny.
It is not surprising that God empties the city when its residents betray its sanctity.

Leadership under scrutiny

Priests and rulers (academics, tribal heads, elders and princes) have each sought to be the supreme authority. This is where the bad smell persists. The kingdom of priests of the Sinai Covenant (Exodus 19) has not become a reality because the combination of priest and king can never seem appropriate within the confines of the Law (commands, statutes, judgments). No foreign power or policy will ever dominate Israeli life and the hope that a Mosaic and patriarchal society is the future of Israel is delusional. If belief in Moses was real then Melchisedec’s pattern of leadership would have been understood and accepted. Our Lord’s evaluation of Israel is an “F”

The ministry of Christ as high priest includes him being King. This is the critical matter of governance in Israel but it has been overlooked and sometimes deliberately ignored when we try to address the final destiny of Jerusalem, indeed, its peace

11) If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12) For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Hebrews 7:11-12

Kingdom without a king

The promise of priestly community and service had its days and moments of awakening but overall the monarchy and the priesthood were fast asleep. Through its own survival instinct and the pressures of governing the priesthood declined

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12. Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Hebrews 9:11-12

All of us who see ourselves as inheritors of the kingdom have at one time or another contorted ourselves and the message in order to appear as belonging to something we admire. Jerusalem has not chosen peace as long as its residents leave the bright light of salvation to keep their tradition. Believers like to think that they chosen the king of peace because they are enrolled as followers of Yeshua of Nazareth. However, as long as salvation and holiness have foundation in laws, prophets, reform movements, or levitical priestly services peace will elude everyone.

Prophets do not survive

If the ministration of death – the Words of God written in stone – is the transcript of God’s character what is the death of Christ at Golgotha?

The minute a prophet raises questions about the source of salvation and the character of Christ is the minute we see that the apostolic foundation is not a construct of the 1st or 15th century. The gospel is an eternal construct involving the blood of the Lamb. The ancients, prophets, kings, and righteous men had no insight into what God was planning for the end of the age. They do not survive the coming of light into the world.

22) For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23) And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Acts 3:22-23

The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Luke 16:16

Every movement since the Way in New Testament times seems to want to intimidate and brainwash people with its views.  The Jewish people tried that.  They wanted to dominate the way with their devotion to and views of their patriarchs, Moses, and prophets.  The movements all turn their backs on the priorities of their confession.  Moses and prophets come to an end.

It is a sure sign that something demonic is afoot when prophets and apostles come out of the woodwork having not a clue about what the apostles left once for all for us to follow.  They all want to make chosen people of themselves along the pattern of Gods election of Abraham’s descendants. They even make a mockery and shipwreck of the toys (types and shadows) by trying to adopt them as realities of the grace of God. Above all, these movements encourage people to say there is no certainty that salvation is of the Jews, in Christ alone.  “Save yourselves” they say. We must save ourselves from the crooked generation that shuts Christ out of its plans.

Deep southern drawl

If American greatness is anything we can tag it as a southern drawl. That would remind everyone of the bloodletting that haunts the nation’s nobles. Since a third of the population is firmly deceived by the drone of greatness returning we are certain that a deep southern drawl, embellished with hateful speech and illegal policies, is a better definition.

Ditch your dad

Every rock we overturn in the age of ready media reveals mutants of the worst kind. Canadians know the flaws in our first prime minister and we have no plans to disown him.

Suicidal society

Canadians also repatriated the constitution and topped it off with a charter of rights. We are not amending it to glorify violence and capitalism. Our national police force has been under attack for grave errors and poor practices and we are not condemning it as a failed entity.

National ID not a den for any religion

Canada’s political leadership for the last decade championed a black hole of right wing so-called values while the Americans were blocking dialog with hetero ideologies, plotting to create barriers to immigration, glorifying gun violence and paying lipservice to a Christian morality.

The slippery slope

Our social fabric is rich whether people want or like hyphenated labels or not. The people we meet or pass in the course of our daily lives are happy to be religious or not. Canada is still a safe place even though gun violence is on a steep rise; safe until we bow to international pressure to worship the wonderful and imminent beast.

All nations bow

John tells us about a beast coming up out of the earth (Rev. 13:11), a different (one might say opposite) location from the first beast; this national is the spitting image of lies and deception. According to John, this entity had two horns like a lamb (symbol for the saving Christ), and he spoke as a dragon (symbol for the destructive the devil).

Miracle trap and legal necessity

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Revelation of John 13:15

And deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Revelation of John 13:14

The greater good

Let us consider that God allows bad stuff to happen because there are better and greater things in his sight and plan.

One of the enduring messsges in the restoration period (see Ezra, Nehemiah, Zechariah and Haggai) is the need for Israelites to begin to see their discrimination as a huge barrier to Yahweh’s approval. The people began hating David’s family while he was still king. Solomon behaved in a way to cement the disapproval of David’s house. When they returned from exile, where they had every opportunity to see the ugliness of racism, they kicked their barriers to Gentiles into high gear.

The new ID

Every religious group seems to have a sense of itself as superior and sometimes exclusive. The Roman Catholic church once gave the impression that only Roman Catholics are Christians.  The Jewish people were taught to see the population of the world as us and them, Jew and Gentile.  There is nothing wrong with that until the us is always safe and beautifully adorned by God, and the rest as second class, lost and cursed.

The church is not like Israel, chosen because of genealogy. Pastors are not prophets declaring sin. A new and greater love has dawned and only the careless and willingly ignorant turn away.

(11) But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; (12) Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Hebrews 9:11-12

The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Matthew 12:42

But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

Matthew 12:6

Deadly Viral Ark

The ark is a coffin. The deal inside is a death sentence. We are sure it had a reputation as a Weapon of Mass Destruction. It’s presentation was deceptive: it revealed perpetually unfinished business and expectations. It was a huge case of extreme Hollywood. Larceny dogged the trails of the ark’s keepers and greed and deception ruled the day. The ark is one more toy that fades when the real deal arrives. For those entities squeezing themselves into an imitation of ancient Israel the trip leads nowhere. We do not hear that the ark stands for the container of God’s will in the Messianic tradition because reverence for the ark as a law container does not fit with a God who has disarmed condemnation. We remain sure that the message for the world’s salvation is the God-with-us-man, not a deadly viral ark.

  • Should not every people have a coffin?
  • Should not every people have a priesthood for their coffin?

The sight of the ark is a temptation to talk – perhaps brag a little – when in fact there is nothing to say for a box that is disguised as treasure. Revelation 11:19 is a megaphone in this regard and follows Jeremiah’s prediction.

And when you have multiplied and been fruitful in the land, in those days, declares the Lord, they shall no more say, The ark of the covenant of the Lord. It shall not come to mind or be remembered or missed; it shall not be made again. Jeremiah 3:16

Until John sees the coffin in vision no one in the New Testament period nor in the intertestamental period mentioned the coffin. It did not even come to mind and writing the covenant all over one’s clothing and talking about it did not save a single Israelite. They ate manna and died. They and the vast majority of their descendants talked a good game and provoked God to dramatic action. When we are talking about salvation people who think that the law is the whole duty of man should keep quiet.

Now comes the truth. It’s a man named Yeshua, not a tent or a temple.

  • If that box had a command that gave eternal life everyone needs one.
  • If that box had a promise in it that lengthens life everyone needs one.
  • If everyone has a coffin then there is no distinct chosen people, such as Israel.

Real treasure is excellence in human flesh, the good thing from Nazareth, the flower in the swamp (the Black man in the White House?)

Real treasure needs a nondescript background.

Since Christ revealed his righteousness apart from law and is our atonement ( hilasmon ) and our altar ( hilasterion ) why is anyone glorifying a death-dealing box, or trying to explain salvation and holiness by using the terms and processes of a doomed priesthood and the kindergarten principles of food and drink?
