What’s an apology worth?

Getting governments to say they regret actions and neglect is a big deal these days. The individuals who voice the remorse and sorrow of bad actors are often despised and villified. The good guys on the global scene today are all yesterday’s villains. Let me remind everyone that where nations and courts have failed to make amends God will impose his will.

Do not ask me to shush about my African heritage

The vast majority of nations have two levels of public service: one documented, righteous and on display, the other secretive, underhanded and evil.

Hear now what the Lord is saying, “Arise, plead your case before the mountains, And let the hills hear your voice.

Micah 6:1

Heritage is painful, especially when it is imposed without popular consent. The greed and ignorance that we see in Brazil, the UK, and the US are due to monolithic belief systems and corrupt public officials. The destruction of the Amazon and the pollution of North American lakes has a price. Guess who pays?

They want us to forget how they raped and are now shaming Africa. Christ does not approve of American colonialism or slavery. The Africa that gave us spiritual champions is long gone but that is no rational to find solace in the arms of evangelical hit men and covetous moneychangers.

Who Pays?

And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

Revelation of John 11:18

Those who want us to be quiet about the ravages of imperialism, capitalism, nationalism and perverted religion will be punished if they do not commit suicide. Our children will have a clean world. The bigot and habitat destroyer will soon be gone. They can keep their apologies. We only want to see justice done. Do not play me with talk about reconciliation. Pay up!

Show is better than tell

O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

Psalms 34:8

Good decisions come from experience, and experience comes from bad decisions

Once we have tasted we want others to have the same experience, but mere talk can be cheap and ineffective.

Tele-read tele-heart

The last thing most Christians want is to know what the Bible really says.

Reading someone’s comment on Scripture is likely to be a watering down of what the writers intended. The result: a long distance relationship with God, hearts that are far from God and lips that have a great deal to say.

Jeremiah would weep an ocean

The most serious interventions in most churches are no intervention at all.  We have heard the mighty rants against sin in the church and sin in the world.  Have we heard so much as a peep about sin carried through the heavens into the highest and holiest?   Or course not.  The priority, when the believer’s purity is the issue, is not God’s great gift of his Son but some gimmick for ensnaring an unsuspecting believer into the latest scam or paying homage to human ingenuity.  It is a case for weeping, because healed people cling to their fatal diagnosis and saved people cannot seem to get past their condemnation. Jeremiah would weep and pray for his reservoirs of his tears to pour if he heard you saying the saved are not saved.

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise.

Jeremiah 17:14

The healed are healed and the saved are saved

We do not have to go too far into anyone’s basement to discover that what they say about the great salvation is not what they believe. We find people creating jobs for Yeshua which he resolutely denounces. We find people turning the liberator into a prison warden. Jeremiah would weep a lot.

God’s people should be what God has made them. Shouldn’t the recipients of grace have God’s gift without the neighbours chiming to devalue them and make God look bad?

Here is how the subtle outrages typically begin.

  • The saved are not saved until they…
  • The healed are not healthy unless they…
  • The child of God has eternal life but only if…

It really must be troubling to the Saviour to see how his work is hijacked by people who have courage only to drown themselves in their freedom-killing cover stories, their hypocritical lies, and demonic-sourced doctrines.

1) Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! 2) Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men. 3) And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth on the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, said the LORD.

Jeremiah 9:1-3

Not one shred

No matter how much money or time they put into their destabilizing interests there is not one shred of love for anything human in the GOP or the White House. Their love for humanity is like love for Canaanites: stealing land, sexual, looting and massacres. Isn’t that what “God and country” stand for?
