Lands of atrocities

Since the second world war the western world has dialed in to the evaluation of human progress as an outcome of democracy and philanthropy.  The opposites of these are tyranny and misanthropy.   No one steps up for the crown of atrocity king but the failed Nazi regime of the early 20th century has many disciples in the history of the nations that want to be crowned most blessed.  The ideology and state – God and country idolatry- apparatus of both nazism and fascism are thriving today in the many lands of atrocities.

Loving every bit even when we have not even a bite

The European ventures of the last two centuries have undoubtedly shaped the capacity for improving the lot of all humans worldwide but not without grave pollutions of the enduring and universal standards.  The powerbrokers in politics and religion have put on a good show, parading economic statistics as signs of progress, but they have no intention of undoing the oppression of their ancestors.   They do not really want to pay the price. The wealth is definitely not being shared.

Micah 3:9-12

9) Now hear this, heads of the house of Jacob And rulers of the house of Israel, Who abhor justice And twist everything that is straight, 10) Who build Zion with bloodshed And Jerusalem with violent injustice. 11) Her leaders pronounce judgment for a bribe, Her priests instruct for a price And her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the Lord saying, “Is not the Lord in our midst? Calamity will not come upon us.” 12) Therefore, on account of you Zion will be plowed as a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins, And the mountain of the temple will become high places of a forest.

Micah 3

When church and parachurch are developing what-about explanations for the nepotism and crime in government is it because they are complicit? When they try to pass themselves as spokespersons for God it is obvious that it is the god they have made. Their biases they show what they are. Pharisees standing under woes for their disguised atrocities. Woe to every Judas and Pharisee. We can forgive them but the Lord’s woe stands.
