This just in

Saul of Tarsus, on his way to Damascus to terrorize followers of the latest messianic hopeful, has been arrested and is blind. He was last seen being helped into the city by his squad.

The learned rabbi, going all out against the teaching and counsel of his teacher Gamaliel (Acts 5:34ff), is in deep trouble. After hearing Yeshua’s disciples state what they had just seen over three years the council, chaired by the High Priest, decided that the disciples deserved to die. Opposition against God is not the only adversarial arrangement that does not work. A household divided does more than not function. It crumbles. Did not the Lord Christ himself remind his audiences that a divided house will not thrive? Does not the prophet question how can two walk together without agreeing? Well then, we cannot keep believing that the place where government – all the civil servants and all the honourable members – does its business with unswerving allegiance to the crown (read the Canadian people) needs an opposition.

“And knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them, “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand.”

Matthew 12:25, NASB

Alas and woe it is that members of parliament swear allegiance to the crown not to their party then spend their time (a) opposing the agenda set out by the winners of the election and (b) place their party’s rhetoric above that all important interest of the Canadian people. It may be time to get rid of the farce that we can have a Satan in the house – loyal opposition – let’s get very real Canadians.
