Alberta MCSA

Alberta separatists, losing in a major way in the referendum for departure from the Canadian family, may concur when representatives say the 1.3 million to .44 million outcome is not a loss. They, the losers, have the right to speak, and the winners have spoken clearly; “Making Canada Stink Again” with disrupting adversarial rhetoric is soundly kicked to the curb. I’d say leave it there.

Separatists generally want to be known as the trend starters, champions of diversity, and first rate dreamers. Individuality makes people the human psyche vibrate, and that is not due solely to the mountain of energy attached to the pressures of seemingly limitless variety.  If nature can be said to provide any example of unique character in teeming millions then let’s take stock of the known fact of fingerprints being high definition identifiers of individuals.

What are the chances of any nation being an absolute clone of another? Every nation is unequivocally distinct.  Protecting the right to forge a new identity tells us something about human creative genius, but only anarchy and malignancy will benefit from the unlimited exercise of the right to separate.

Can we identify the political ideology that fueled Alberta’s referendum on separation? I asked Perplexity

Important qualification

Most people who supported holding a future independence referendum were not necessarily separatists. Polling cited during the campaign found that about 60 percent of referendum supporters wanted mainly to “send a message to Ottawa,” while only about 37 percent actually wanted Alberta to take steps toward secession. (Time)
So the most precise answer is: the referendum was fueled by a right-populist and libertarian form of Alberta nationalism, built on long-standing Western alienation and energy grievances—not by a coherent, province-wide separatist ideology. (LeMonde)

I also asked Google, and here is Google’s curated knowledge.

Key factors driving the movement include:
• Far-Right Populism: Activists and groups mobilizing the push have drawn on anti-elitist rhetoric, COVID-19 restriction backlash, and, in some cases, conspiracy theories.
• Western Alienation: Longstanding resentment toward the federal government in Ottawa over perceived political underrepresentation and cultural disconnects with eastern provinces.
• Economic and Resource Grievances: Deep-seated frustration over federal environmental regulations, energy policies targeting the province’s oil and gas sector, and federal equalization payments.
• Political Infiltration: Activists aligned with the separatist push organized within the governing United Conservative Party (UCP) during and after the pandemic, pressuring leadership to accommodate the vote.
Despite these pressures, approximately 75% of voters in the October 19, 2026 referendum chose to remain in Canada, with many participants noting that supporting the vote was intended as a political signal to Ottawa rather than an endorsement of total secession.

See? Trying to break up a nation that is close to 200 years old is a tactic to get the attention of Canada’s federal government. I smell  MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN DNA, and it is responsible. If the vision of a separate Alberta is looking back we can reasonably assume that the aroma will be of landfill not flowers.

Except for Quebec

Team Canada has more in common with frightened schoolboys than with respectable elected individuals.  Standing up to the half dead Republican rabble is going to take more than negotiation skills.  Thankfully the premiers are not robots like Republican elected representatives who have no thought of their own.  They know when to leave their partisan stripes at home and when to take advantage of an opportunity.  Canadian business interests who favour a Canadian dollar trailing the US dollar by 30 points should team up with the Bloc Quebecois, because when it comes to strength and unity to face external threats Canadians will have a winning team, except for Quebec.

Push comes to shove , and  tariff to hardship

People, elected representatives should know, are infinitely more important than politics.  So let the squabbling for power and influence end.  Canadian politicians know how tariffs work.  We cannot say the same for the huffing puffing wolves of the United States and the Canadian Dominion. I am sure that Canadians want their lives improved without giving up their independence from foreign dominance.  American resources and Canadian resources come from the same place.

He who oppresses the poor to make more for himself Or who gives to the rich, will only come to poverty. (Proverbs 22:16)

Shame on all those entrepreneurs who have supported the US economy at the expense of Canadian workers

Did Premier Ford ever say “disgusting” about the plight of Canada’s first Nations?

If he has, why do culture wars, all kinds of discrimination and murders still happen in Ontario?  I wonder why he is disgusted by the centuries old hostilities in the Levant and has nothing to say about Canada’s neighbour to the south dumping all over Canadian sovereignty.  It is no wonder that Ford has nothing to say about 75 years of oppression of the Palestinian people.

Did Ford and any Conservative political activist ever say Canada’s entire history is disgusting?  Why do they hesitate to condemn revenge killing and do they have the courage to begin supporting people and not just the ones they feel obligated to?  Are Ford and Canadian sages committed to supporting apartheid Israel against the ruling of the International Criminal Court? I think they are.  Palestinians, Ford should know,  are Christian, Muslim and atheists just like Canadians.  What’s next?  Palestinians are terrorists?
