In the first 12 hours of the new year and decade there are signs of decay and despair and death. In the parable of the plantation Yeshua said that the owner planted his crops and overnight the enemy dropped in some noxious weeds. This new, happy and prosperous year is already a victim and the challenges will soon appear, including our destructive attitude, to which our wise Lord says, “Leave the weeds alone, harvest is coming”.
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
TROUBLES RISE. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, did not you sow good seed in your field? from whence then has it tares? He said unto them, An enemy has done this.
DESTRUCTIVE ATTITUDE. servants said unto him, Will you then that we go and gather them up?
But he said, Nay; lest while all of you gather up the tares, all of you root up also the wheat with them.
GODLY WISDOM. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather all of you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.Matthew 13:24-30
Let us resist the temptation to pluck up things different to us in our attempt to create a perfect year.
