Abominable Brilliance Condemned

The Canadian PM calls Israeli treatment of detainees abominable and I will not wait to hear the word police sound off about Israeli rights.  The facts are that Israel has been telling the world – even the world in authorized assembly – to screw itself, and Israel’s racist, rapist, demoniac violence has been exposed to the world as the epitome of genocidal intent. What do Jews or anyone else beside the Nazis know about genocide and apartheid that South Africans do not? Even the fiercest expression of Canadian outrage at Israel’s crime will circulate for a few hours and then dissipate back into the ether of global apathy.

Canada to summon Israeli ambassador over treatment of civilians on Gaza flotilla: Anand

Atrocious Behaviour Catalogued

The outrage that brings Canadians out of their usually calm demeanor came from an abominable heart, if we are allowed to apply a couple of common principles.  It was not a mistake.  It was international piracy.  It was Israel pretending to prevent evil.  With failure in the Israeli atmosphere mounting the government may be finally be scared of the pay back for its crimes.

(1) Impersonal entities can possess what we call “heart”. (2) The actions of humans or corporate entities are to be associated with what is in their hearts. The Canadian thought police and media moguls will not tell us that abominable things come out of incorruptible hearts, but the drunkard, the sober, the drug-free and the medicated masses know that Canada will not cause a change in Israeli criminal behaviour until Canada arrest,  or deport, and proscribe Israel’s representatives. Canadians need to say, with one voice, that is,  the Parliament, “Israel, you are not welcome here”.  There may be entities like churches, mosques, cultural associations where Israeli malignancy is applauded but that will be only because those entities are all cross-eyed flatterers of failed states and discredited ideologies.

Let peace and justice break out or else!

Says who?

Why it is not funny

The greatest powers on earth might seem to have no mention in God’s road map, the Bible, but let’s face it, Syria, Iraq, Iran,  Lebanon, Russia and Egypt are all living witnesses to the movement of God’s agenda from antiquity. So where are China, Australia and the Caribbean?  The nations of Europe are in the record, but where are the United States and Canada?  Is it funny that Israel and the undisputed powerhouse of the modern era are often in the same room, eating the same dinner and no-one seems to be unravelling the outrageous homicidal behavior of the powers competing for dominance on the world stage? No.

The powers that have helped Israel with God’s stamp of approval are few. Though the Israelites kept running to Egypt for help it is Ethiopia, Syria and Persia that have been the helpers of Israel. Today’s Arabs will betray and attack Israel even as both parties invoke the name of Abraham. It is not funny. It is a deadly game of profit over the prophetic. God is not impressed by monuments, cowardly generals, and magnates. Poverty, misogyny, miscarriage of justice, and the crushing the visions of young people with deadly traditions is not funny.

Calling for peace with a knee on the neck of a helpless and vulnerable people is immoral in any country. God gets the last and decisive laugh and the blind now sees they all do it.

2) The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, 3) “Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!” 4) He who sits in the heavens laughs, the Lord scoffs at them.

(Psalms 2:2-4)

The pastor, the politician, the puffed-up and inhumane leader

A people who reject facts will wander in the wilderness and die. This wilderness wandering phenomenon is evident in all the political systems and in the pastimes of the associated surrogates and sycophants.  It defines the lack of productivity in a Christian; it is not a type of death.  There may be people who seem to have started the journey of following Christ but give up or turn back.  Many still want to pursue the American dream even when it it clear that there are structural barriers designed to make a disconnect from human dignity essential to realizing the dream.  This is the inhumanity of racism and religious corruption.

Nothing compares to or replaces the excellent things of Christ.

Doublespeaking Warriors

Christians have a set of beliefs topped off with a main profession or confession.  Sometimes the expression is private: self talk.  Sometimes it is public testimony.  Sometimes people are just shooting the breeze.  In the vast majority of cases the expressions have a significance that attaches to who the speaker is.  A popular trope is faithful.  It has come to mean responsible,  faultless,  beyond reproach, and of course sinless.  It is rare to hear faithful used to mean full of faith or free from unbelief.  Our doublespeaking habits are most in play when evidence is required or when someone wants us to believe something for which they have no relevant evidence.   The result is a ring of false humility, triumphalism, fables and speculation around mountains of doublespeak.

Understanding the conditions under which confessions happen

When exactly does one say the following?

  • I am not a politican
  • I am not perfect
  • I did not go to school to study Bible
  • I am not a scientist/expert
  • I am not a leader
  • I am not a sinner
  • I am not a saint

  • I am perfect
  • I am a politican

  • I am a sinner
  • I am a saint

Perhaps the most commonly abused term is perfect. One hears it applied to God and it admits no “shadow of turning” to use James’ phrase. God’s perfections were not given to Adam. Adam was a complete and good product of God’s creative work, and only the shortsighted and contentious try to make Adam a perfect creature. If a perfect creature can unleash the misery of expulsion from Eden and the lockout of all human beings then we have to conclude that perfection like that leaves much to be desired.

We are more than conquerors because of God’s love, not when we gain advantage or acquire some material or spiritual property.

It is both profound pretense and insensitivity to talk about human identity and destiny apart God’s eternal plan to save.
